Inlet Cyclone Separator Alberta
The
Mandate. Increased volumes of water and sand were reaching the Caribou
North compressor station. Existing separation equipment was not been able
to knock out all the sand entering the station. Future gas development
increased the potential for damaging the compressor.
The Solution. GRB proposed, designed and supervised the installation of an inlet slug catcher with downstream sand separator (Cyclone type). The cyclone separator provided a secondary inlet separation to the existing slug catcher, knocking out small water and sand particles down to 10 microns. |
